Metrology-Grade Laser Scanning in Your Hand
Artec Point II is a handheld, target-based 3D laser scanner built for ISO-certified, metrology-grade measurement with accuracy of up to 0.02 mm. It's designed for quality control and reverse engineering, including complex, black, and reflective surfaces.
Repeatable results across operators — without manual tuning — make it a practical fit for inspection teams that need dependable data every time.
Precision, Speed, and Reach
Accuracy and tracking built for demanding inspection work.
Up to 0.02 mm Accuracy
Up to 0.02 mm resolution and accuracy, with 3D accuracy over distance of 0.015 mm + 0.015 mm/m when paired with the Artec Metrology Kit.
Up to 120 FPS Capture
A capture rate of up to 120 FPS with tracking that compensates for fast or abrupt movement, plus up to 5.8 million measurements per second.
Three Scanning Modes
Ultra-fast, hyper-fine, and deep hole modes let one scanner cover large surfaces, fine engraved detail, and deep grooves.
Available Models
Artec Point II is offered as a single model.

Best for: quality control and reverse engineering on complex, black, and reflective parts.
- Handheld Artec Point II 3D laser scanner
- Target-based scanning — targets are applied to the object
- Processing in Artec Studio
- 1-year warranty
Built Tough, Certified to Standard
A metal casing, IP50 dust protection, and an efficient cooling system keep Point II reliable through long inspection sessions. Calibration and testing are performed at an ISO 17025-accredited lab to VDI/VDE 2634 and JJF 1951 standards.
- Class II blue laser, eye-safe
- Operating range of −10 to 40°C
- Lightweight, one-handed use that tilts into tight spaces
Scanning Modes
Ultra-Fast Scanning
54 blue laser lines cover large objects quickly with a lower polygon count.
Hyper-Fine Scanning
17 parallel blue laser lines capture fine detail, such as engraved features.
A third deep hole mode uses a single blue laser line to reach deep grooves and holes.
Inspection-Ready Software
Artec Studio with Built-In Inspection Tools
Get real-time 3D feedback, 3D Compare Map and Tolerance Checking, CAD comparison, and one-click export to Geomagic Control X or PolyWorks Inspector — plus AI Photogrammetry for texture.
