Long-Range LiDAR Scanning, Without the Wires
Artec Ray II is a wireless, long-range laser (LiDAR) 3D scanner for capturing large to massive objects, scenes, and areas from up to 130 m away. A full dome at the highest resolution takes about 1 minute 42 seconds, with data capture at up to 2 million points per second.
It's built for reverse engineering, inspection, digital twins, forensic documentation, heritage preservation, and infrastructure monitoring — with an onboard touchscreen so no computer is needed in the field.
Speed, Range, and Millimeter Accuracy
Capture big spaces quickly without giving up detail.
1.9 mm Accuracy at 10 m
3D point accuracy of 1.9 mm at 10 m, 2.9 mm at 20 m, and 5.3 mm at 40 m, with user-selectable resolution of 3, 6, or 12 mm at 10 m.
0.5–130 m Range
A 360° horizontal and 300° vertical field of view covers entire scenes from a single scanner position.
Targetless Registration
A Visual Inertial System, IMU, altimeter, compass, and GNSS align point clouds in real time without targets.
Available Models
Artec Ray II is offered as a single model.
Artec Ray II
Best for: large-scale scanning of buildings, sites, vehicles, and infrastructure.
- Artec Ray II LiDAR scanner
- Rechargeable Li-Ion batteries (hot-swappable)
- AC adapter
- 256 GB exchangeable USB 3.0 flash drive
- Free Artec Remote app for iOS and Android
- 1-year warranty
Built for Long Days in the Field
Hot-swappable batteries let you keep scanning without powering down, and an IP54 rating protects against dust and water. A “Double Scan” method removes objects that enter or leave the scene while you capture.
- Swap batteries while scanning
- IP54 dust and water protection
- Class 1 invisible laser (1550 nm), eye-safe
Resolution & Color
Selectable Resolution
Choose 3, 6, or 12 mm at 10 m — from a full textured dome in about 1 min 26 sec at 12 mm to the finest detail at 3 mm.
36 MP Color with HDR
A 3-camera system with automatic 5-bracket HDR captures textured scans and a calibrated spherical image.
Used for aerospace, automotive, digital twins, forensics, quality inspection, heritage preservation, civil infrastructure, and archaeology.
Touchscreen & Remote App Control
Scan Without a Computer
A full-color onboard touchscreen and the free Artec Remote app control scans from the field. Data exports to Artec Studio, Geomagic Control X, and CAD software, and pairs with Artec Leo for combined scanning.
