Professional, Precise Metal 3D Printing
The DMP Flex 200 is designed for professional 3D printed metal manufacturing of small, complex, fine-detail parts at high quality using 3D Systems' direct metal printing (DMP) technology. Its patented layer compacting technology allows the use of smaller powder particles, which helps generate the finest feature detail and thinnest possible wall thicknesses available in the market.
With typical accuracy of ±50 µm (±0.002 in) on small metal parts and part-to-part repeatability of approximately 20 µm (0.0008 in), it's a fit for dental applications like next-day RPDs, crowns, bridges, and implant bars, as well as research, lightweight designs, and enhanced fluid-flow components.
High Performance at Lower Cost
A larger build volume and a 500W laser reduce cost per part and speed up delivery.
Larger Build Volume, 500W Laser
A 140 x 140 x 115 mm build volume paired with a 500W laser source leads to reduced cost per part and faster delivery times.
Fewer Supports, Better Finish
The ability to print with less support and visibly better surface finish means less post-processing and less material usage, with surface finish quality of up to 5 Ra µm.
DOEs with Small Powder Quantities
An optional build volume reducer (20 mm depth x 20 mm diameter) cuts the minimum powder needed to print a 20 mm cube by a factor of 50, ideal for alloy research and precious metals.
Easy Loading and Cleaning
A new build plate clamping mechanism eliminates screw management inside the process chamber, making unloading build plates easier than ever. An internal vacuum cleaner maintains the sealed, inert process chamber and cleans all surfaces without powder contact, while an airlock passes build plates and powder containers in and out to help avoid powder exposure and limit oxygen entry.
- Screw-free build plate clamping mechanism
- Internal vacuum cleaner keeps the chamber clean without powder contact
- Airlock limits powder exposure and oxygen entry
Commonly Used Materials
LaserForm CoCr (B)
Highly corrosion and wear resistant, suitable for biomedical applications including dental crowns and bridges.
LaserForm Ti Gr5 (A) / Ti Gr23 (A)
High-strength, low-weight titanium with excellent biocompatibility; Gr23 offers lower oxygen content than Gr5.
LaserForm 316L (B), which can be sterilized and is highly corrosion resistant, is also available. Not all materials are available in all countries, so consult your local sales representative.
3DXpert Software Included
A Streamlined, Repeatable Workflow
3DXpert, an all-in-one metal additive manufacturing software solution by Oqton, is included with the DMP Flex 200. It gives users control over the entire design-to-manufacturing workflow to prepare quality parts in record time.
